RECALL ELECTIONS. STATE OFFICERS. LEGISLATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. • Authorizes a recall election to be held within 180 days of certification of sufficient signatures in order that the election may be consolidated with the next regularly scheduled election occurring in the same jurisdiction. • Current law provides that recall elections must be held between 60 and 80 days of the date of certification of sufficient signatures. Summary of Legislative Analyst's Estimate of Net State and Local Government Fiscal Impact: • Potentially significant savings to state and local governments.
