Description
VOTING ON BILLS IN LEGISLATURE. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Provides, with respect to voting on bills in Legislature, that: (a) No bill may be passed by a committee unless the chair determines, by rollcall, that a majority of the committee is present at the time the vote is announced. (b) No member voting on a bill in a committee or in either house may change his or her vote, or have his or her vote recorded, after the vote is announced. (c) If an electrical voting system is used, no member may operate the voting switch of any other member. Fiscal impact on state and local governments: No significant impact on state or local government costs or revenues.
