Description

WATER. Initiative Constitutional Amendment. Amends Article XIV, Section 3, of Constitution. Declares that water from state water development projects shall not be furnished to irrigate more than 160 acres held by one person, unless owner agrees to sell land in excess of 160 acres within 10 years to non-excess land holder at not more than the actual land value. Prohibits irrigation and other water distribution districts from furnishing water from such projects to excess land until such condition is met and authorizes execution of contracts for this purpose with state or federal agencies.
