Description
ALCOHOLIC REHABILITATION FUND. Initiative Constitutional Amendment. Requires 5% of alcoholic beverage excise taxes be deposited in a fund for use by State Department of Institutions for care and treatment of inebriates and to compensate counties or cities and counties for care and treatment of inebriates. Declares that during 1939 and 1940 an additional 15% of such excise taxes shall be deposited in said fund for purchase of sites and construction of institutions for care and treatment of inebriates. Permits legislative appropriations of unexpended balance in fund for support of indigent families of inebriates.
