Abstract
In the winter of 1990 the Illinois Pro-Choice Alliance was directed by its Board to address the issue of inclusivity within a project specifically designed for that purpose. One of the major goals of the Inclusivity Project was to broaden the Alliance's base of membership to include organizations representing people of color. The project was initiated in May 1990 through efforts to increase the Board's sensitivity to racial difference and was continued by identifying and making contact with organizations that represent people of color.
