The Territorial Principle in Criminal Law

Abstract

Under the territorial theory of criminal jurisdiction, the nation on whose ground the crime was committed had jurisdiction of the offense. The author analyzes the historical development of this principle, its expansion by statute, and its possible application to space age problems.
